In an emergency situation, often ‘Cannot Intubate, Cannot Oxygenate,' Cricath® offers rapid access to the trachea by means of a needle cannula cricothyrotomy technique. Using Cricath® in combination with Ventrain® is key to rapidly and safely re-oxygenate and ventilate.

“Cannot Intubate Cannot Oxygenate" patients represent an emergency that may require immediate access to the airway by means of a cricothyroidotomy technique. Ventrain® in combination with the Cricath® Transtracheal Catheter is the first and only emergency ventilation device on the market, which uses a 2 mm internal diameter catheter inserted through the cricothyroid membrane:
Allows the patient to be adequately ventilated using FCV® Assisted Ventila- tory Expiratory Ventilation technology in an obstructed upper airway.
It offers a minute volume (MV) of over 6 L/min and an I/E ratio of 1:1, when using a flow rate of 15 L/min.
